AI Use

Some AI use is now almost impossible to avoid. Searching, transcription and spellchecking/grammar/sense check  all use a form of it - and therefore we can’t practically say it should never be used. 

However, we do not want it anywhere near the copy or pitches you produce. 

We stand critically as a publication on the things that are making our work and world worse. AI, and the proliferation of low-quality, ignorable work it produces, is one of these. 

AI is highly unstable and its use exposes us to uninsurable risk, which we are not willing to bear. 

In short: If it even smells slightly like AI was used in the production of your words or artwork, we will send it back to you to rework, and reserve the right to reject it altogether.
